These therapies desensitize trauma, helping people reprocess negative experiences and messages into more positive beliefs about themselves and their safety. They also assist clients in connecting to their Spiritual Resources to get unstuck from past issues and meet needs now that were not met well in their past.

Char received her degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Guidance & Counseling: Mental Health with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy, treatment of trauma, abuse and deprivation.

As a mother of seven children, a psychotherapist for over 15 years, and a clergy spouse, Char brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the counseling process.

John (LJ) Booth

Working with a diverse clientele—including children, adolescents and adults—his approach is integrative, matched to the goals of his clients. He enjoys the challenge and successes, working with anxiety, parenting, depression and trauma, with both individuals and couples. With his adolescent clients, LJ integrates two of his passions—writing lyrics and playing guitar—to help the creative and emotional aspects of each client’s personality find a voice. It is a form of “play” therapy, shown effective with more than just kids. He is a graduate of UW-Stout, where he obtained his Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
